Friday, our class along with the Preschool classes went on our first field trip.
The Kindergarten class all have orange, school shirts to wear on our field trips (and other special days). One of them has gotten lost so if anyone from our school ended up with two orange shirts, please let us know!!
I think they look so great in them! Best of all, it is easy to find them in a crowd!
Getting ready to go inside the factory…
Karli is very excited!
It was MUCH cooler inside the factory, but we had to wait downstairs while Mrs. Angela let them know we were here.
Next we went into a room to watch a movie about the history of Blue Bell Ice Cream.
Everyone waited patiently
And enjoyed the movie. (one child wanted to watch it again!)
It was pretty hard to get them to all sit still long enough for a picture. They couldn’t wait to see the factory, or eat the ice cream. (Mostly eat the ice cream!)
Once we started the tour, we were not allowed to take pictures. (don’t want anyone stealing their secret recipe!)
After the tour was over (which was really neat and interesting!), we went into their little ice cream shop and everyone was allowed to choose their favorite bowl of ice cream. Yummm!! {Mine is “Mocha Madness”}
Matthew with his MawMaw and our special guest-Zachary.
Jerrel and Dylan….Dylan loved the wooden spoon!
Good friends, good ice cream!
How fun it was to sit on the big stools to eat our ice cream!
And watch ourselves in the mirror!
Most all of the kids picked “Superman Ice Cream” one of their newest flavors. It turns your lips and teeth and tongue -blue!! (and your hands and clothes if you get it on them.)
Karli picked vanilla I believe. No blue teeth for her!
Next, we went to a nearby park to eat lunch and play for a while.
Zachary found a moth that lit on his finger for a long time. He was so cute!
The playground was lots of fun1
Mrs. Angela rests with Natalie.
Isabella and Karli waiting for their turn on the tire swing
Ms. Michele was good at pushing!
Good buddies!
The heat didn’t seem to bother them…
It was lots of fun to play chase!
Especially on the tunnel slide.
Matthew takes a break.
Mrs. Angela with Hannah’s mom
Jerrel cools off in the shade.
Katelynn, trying to decide if she wants to go down the pole or not.
“The sun is in my eyes!!”
Fun, hiding at the climbing wall!
What a great time we all had!
Thank you so much for allowing Zachary to go! I hope he behaved well. I hope to bring him to chapel some. We so appreciate BMCS!
