Math-Learning to Sort and Going Fishing!

This past week in our Math time we learned lots of new things.

One of them was to “sort” pattern blocks by color and shape.

Another thing we worked on was identifying numbers. That day we got to “go fishing for numbers”. We had a make-believe pond with fish in it that had numbers on them. The children used our fishing pole to catch fish. They then had to identify the number written on the fish. If they called out the incorrect number, then the fish “go away” and they had to wait for another turn.

 

Now they beg me every day to let them “go fishing.”
