Grandparent’s Day 2013

Our school celebrates Grandparent’s Day the first Friday of September every year. For the teachers, it can be a stressful day just getting ready for it, but when we see the grandparent’s smiling and proud faces it is well worth all the work that goes into it.

We have a special chapel for our Grandparents to start the day off.

Two of our classmates were out of school today so we looked really small, but we still did a great job!

We have learned two Bible Verses and how to sign them in ASL- Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:31b

We also said a poem called "Grandparents". They did a great job!

We had 30 minutes in the Art room making cards for our Grandparents. They turned out so cute! Thank you Mrs. Kennedy for all your hard work!

The children loved them! (hopefully the grandparents did too)

We decorated picture frames to put pictures in that I took of the children with their grandparent. It was funny trying to explain to them how I was going to take the camera to Wal Mart to get the pictures printed them. They were very concerned that they wouldn’t have anything in them.
