This month is one of the craziest of the school year (next to May). We started practicing every day for the Christmas program-which was two songs we were to sing. Some days we went to the Preschool Room and practiced with them (since we were singing together in the program). Believe it or not, that took a chuck out of our morning.

But here are some snapshots of what we managed to squeeze in….

We are practicing getting our name written on our papers, neatly, with correct letter formation and QUICKLY!! Smile I slowly count to 15 and as they finish they raise their hand to show they are finished. Some have moved up to 10 seconds already and a couple have beat that!! (Especially lucky Ava, who only has 3 letters to write! ha! ha!)

Here is a picture of the kids playing “store” again in our morning meeting. They used pennies to show how much each item on our “conveyor belt” cost. How fun!

I assess the children individually every 10 lessons in our Saxon Math (morning meeting). This is Ava, after having shown me one of the ways to sort these shapes (by color). They had to do it two out of the three different ways and everyone of them got it right! They are very good at sorting!

Reading Circles have begun!

Apparently I forgot to take pictures of Kian and Ava or they were not there that day…Anyway, I will add them in next time, because all of the children are doing Reading Circles of course! Smile and they love it!
