Making a Graph

We’ve been learning about graph’s all year in our Morning Meeting. Every day we graph the weather for the month. It’s been interesting to see. January-we had more sunny days, February, we’ve had mostly cloudy days! (and some snow days!)
Today we graphed our favorite winter activity.

Another day we graphed and learned about the terms “Longer than, Same as, and Shorter than”.  I had some items gathered that the children could compare and sort. Unfortunately, all of the items were “shorter than” the pencil we were using to measure with. Smile

Then I let the children gather things from around the room that they thought were longer than or the same as.

They had so much fun doing this! Lots of giggles!

Next we worked on a worksheet to reinforce what we had just learned.

Today we leaned about cubes, then we got to make one. Hope they made it home without being squished! The children were so proud of their “boxes”.
