More Work With Tangrams

We have been spending a good bit of our “Morning Meeting” time working with tangrams. They can be tricky for some, but they are great for improving deductive reasoning.

This takes lots of concentration. The sometimes to get the tangrams to fit the patterns you have to flip, slide or turn the piece. These smiling faces show that they figured it out!! Smile

After we do “hands on”, the children go to their desk and work on a correlating paper. What a smart group of kids!

Math Board Work

The children have learned the addition families up through the 7th family. Each time we learn a family, we figure out which are the “twins” and which are the “doubles”. Here the children are answering the problem, then writing the twin for each problem.
