This week we learned letter Ii and the sound it makes and the sign we use to show “Ii” with our hands. After we practiced it together several times, the children were paired off into “peanut butter and jelly” teams and they “taught” each other. They loved being the teacher!
Some even got in a few tickles while they were at it. ha! ha!
Reviewing and Feeding Sparky the Dog
I hid paper dog bones around the room, then asked the kids questions from our week so far.
Some were questions about the letter iI, some were about numbers we had talked about.
Some were questions about rules and procedures we are learning.
When it was their turn, the children answered the question, then they were able to go find a bone and “feed” it to Sparky.
Even though the bones were in plain sight, the children had a blast! ![]()
It was so fun seeing their excitement!
