Gingerbread Man Day

We have so much to squeeze into our regular day that I don’t really get to do a lot of extra stuff, but last week we had Gingerbread Man day on Friday. The kids brought “brown show  & tell” items (see the previous post), we read different versions of the Gingerbread story and made a Venn Graph comparing two of the stories. They did a great job with that! And I passed around my Gingerbread Man Air Freshener for them all to smell. Ava (student from last year) gave it to me for Christmas and it still smells wonderful! The kids loved it.

We also did a coloring activity where everyone had to answer the questions in according to his/her own personal experiences. Like “if you are a boy color his eyes blue, if you are a girl color them green”… and so forth. Everyone’s turned out different because of the questions. It was really cool. We have the gingerbread boys and girls hanging in our room.

It was a fun day!
