Mrs. Messner has decorated our room with Teddy Bears! She has read us lots of books about teddy bears and we talked about real vs. fictional bears. We used Teddy Graham cookies to sing the song “Roll Over” and count backwards from 10. Yummy!! We got to eat a bear each time “one fell out of bed!” We also graphed with Gummy Bears and were able to eat them when we were done.
We were introduced to new Math materials and were able to play with them for a little while.
Teddy Bear Counters…
And Pattern Blocks…
On Friday, we had “Bear Olympics”
We played “Musical Bears”, “Beanie Bear toss”, and “Bear flip-up”
It was sooooo Much fun!!
We also got to bring our favorite bear to school on Friday. They were able to sit at our desk with us all day. (as long as we kept them quiet!) Later, we had a “bear share”. We each told the class about our bear, his name, where we got him and why we loved him. Then we passed him around so everyone could hold him for a minute. That was really neat.
What a “beary” fun day!
