Our First Day of School-August 12, 2009

Today was our first day of Kindergarten. We were so excited to be at school today. Even the rainy weather couldn’t “dampen” our spirits!

Mrs. Messner welcomed us with a little poem outside the door. The sidewalk was wet, so the tape didn’t want to stick very well. We had to pull the paper up after a little while and throw it away. IMG_4478 IMG_4479 IMG_4480

We all came in with our mom’s (and some dad’s) and put our things away so well. We gave our parents hugs and kisses and then were ready to begin our day!

We all were very excited to meet our class pets They are African Dwarf Frogs and we also have a black snail. We all suggested and voted on names for our pets.  This is what we came up with: the frogs are-Chet and Kermit and the snail is Mr. S. Aren’t those great names?

Soon the first bell rang. We thought that was pretty neat and kept telling Mrs.  Messner “There goes the bell again!” She soon explained to us that it was mostly used for the Jr. High and High School students. We only need to  pay attention to the first and second bell of the day that tells us school is ready to begin.IMG_4502 IMG_4501
