Today we explored the teddy bear counters and pattern blocks together. The children could play with them however they wished. Then the next day, we learned how to count with 1:1 correspondence. We used the teddy bear counters and the pattern blocks (for chairs) and counted out five bears and five chairs. We lined the bears up to go out (like we line up in our classroom) then decided they were all tired and needed to sit down. We made sure there were enough chairs for our bears by counting to five again. The kids did great!
