Letter P falls right around Thanksgiving so that makes it easy to not only make Pizza (see previous post), but to also bring in my son’s hot air popcorn popper and let the children watch corn pop! Most of them have never seen popcorn pop like this. It is so fun for them. It smells delicious, but most of the time, they are disappointed at the taste. (especially when Mrs. Messner forgets to bring in the salt! 
). But they were all game for trying it and nearly every one of them wanted seconds (and thirds).

Not only did we eat some popcorn, but we glued some on a cutout of corn. They were so surprised that popcorn is a special type of “corn on the cob” and grows in the same way. I hate I didn’t have any Indian corn to show them. Next year…..
