My Kinder Garden...: Our Last Week Before Christmas Vacation!! Whoo Hoo!

Math Lessons….

This week in Math we played “Number Bingo”. We are working on recognizing the numbers 0-20, so we played a game where we all had a “bingo card” of numbers and Mrs. Messner called out different numbers from her stack. If we had that number on our bingo card, we got to cover it with our own number cards. It was lots of fun and we played several times. We are doing really good learning to recognize the bigger numbers.

Another day in Math we learned what a recipe is, and how to read it.

Here was our recipe:

Mix together:

2 cups of yellow water and

2 cups of blue water and you get….

Green Water!!

Mrs. Messner let us pour it back in to measure it again. It was really neat watching it change colors!

Christmas Party

We started our day off by listening to the First Christmas Story on CD (which was a copy of an old record that Mrs. Messner listened to when she was a little girl!)

While it played we got to use puppets that were from the Nativity to re-enact the story. It was a lot of fun!

Next we took down our December calendar because today was the last school day of December. When we come back to school, it will be a new month and a new year!! We practiced counting backwards as we took down each number.

After our snack, we begin making several different Christmas crafts. Here are some pictures of what we made….
